How about a BBQ?

Okay, so I've been talking to my family, and inquiring about inviting you, my fellow Step Cal FJers, up to our house for a BBQ. We're about a half hour below the entrance to the Sequoia and Kings Canyon Nat'l Park, and there are quite a few trails up in the mountains too. Although I'll admit I don't know the trails well...or at all...lol. Anyway, I figured I'd throw it out here to you guys, and see what the consensus is on whether or not this sounds interesting to anyone. From what my family says, we'd be looking at late June, early July, or thereabout. Thoughts, comments, ideas?

Note: If this does strike the collective fancy, I'll add more information about it.

Mindy, you should create a event for the Barbeque on the main page that way more people will know about it, and can sign up for it if they are interested.

Should I post it as an event on the stepcal page or the norcal main page?

To add an event it goes out on the Norcal site. Just be specific about what it is and list Step Cal in the title. Up to you, you don't have to make an event but the RSVP part of an event gives you a good idea about who can make it and who can't. Put in some info on local camp groungs and motels also. There are some who want a bed and some who want a tent or a truck to sleep in. Just my two cents

I have a hume lake park map w/ nearby ohv trails marked with trail difficulty rating. Ur more than welcome to use it.

Mindy, I am not going to be able to make the BBQ. Teri has to work that weekend now, and with my Yosemite trip the next week it will not work out. We are planning something for August up your way, I will keep you posted after we work on the dates and location. Find us some good trails for another time!

Aw bummer...oh well, that's life lol definitely let me know whats up with the August Trip and I'll do my best to make it :)
