Does anyone know of a any 4 wheeling clinics that are in the north state. I am fairly new to it and I have a buddy also new with a tundra. We basically wanted to get some pointers. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Hopefully we can get Scullyoffroad and opg4759 to host a clinic this spring.

Join us the next time we go out, plenty of us to give pointers.
Come out to some of the trail runs that we will be having soon and you can see how the FJ handles of road and what the fj's limits, We are willing to help and give pointers.

I have one and two day driving clinics that I offer at Hollister HIlls SVRA. They go into driving technique, spotting, reading the trail, high lift jack usage, winching, and much more.
As far as good pointers, I highly recommend purchasing Jim Allen's Book Four-Wheelers Bible. It is the best collection of four wheel drive information in one spot.
Also feel free to ask any questions you want to know. I'm more than happy to answer anything for you.
Check out Bill Burke too. He has done a couple clinics up here in the PNW and is a wealth of knowledge. His classes are a bit spendy, but IMO, are well worth it. However, everyone else here is right too. Get out there and wheel. Meet people. Pay attention. There's no replacement for experience. Just be cautious because you can also pick up some really bad and dangerous habits from some folks. There is definitely a right and wrong way to do what we do and the wrong way can injure or kill you or someone else. So be safe out there.
Espirit de fours has a really good safety clinic twice a year at hollister.
I took my son a few years ago, they have done this for a long time and it shows. Its a great way to start out.
