URD makes one that delivers more hp
WHERE CAN I FIND URD?
I ALSO AM INTERESTED IN A COLD AIR INTAKE,WOULD YOU RECCOMEND A GOOD COMPANY FOR THAT ALSO?
I'm running the aFe cold air intake it rocks you can get those at 4wheelparts.com
Honestly, why do you need or want a supercharger? Do you drive it like you stole it like Bz, or is it just to have it?

Your better off right now putting money into your armor and suspension and tires then a supercharger.
X2 I drive like a bat outta hell but the FJ has plenty of power + the compression in these motors is high enuff without boost
Well but after some good rock sliders, skid plates, bumpers, winch, + camping equipment (I know some of you guys bring A LOT of stuff) I can see an usage for a supercharger
I really do not agree. to me on the trail Torq is way more important that horse power. I have seen 4 cylinders with double crawl boxes crawl up things like they were nothing at Rubicon. I would buy a better transfer case or a double case. In fact I can think of many times when more power could make a situation worse for someone with a heavy foot. A super charger will increase torque but you also have to rev at a higher rate to get that gain (forced induction). For me I would rather put it in double low and crawl over things at like 1500 on the tack.

Now if your talking about on the freeway at freeway speeds, then a super charger may be the right way to go.
IMO
there's always NOS =)
I understand what you mean but:
1) not everybody likes to rock crawl or has it as the primary "target", many others (me included) like to cross deserts at relatively high speeds (40-50MPH);
2) you can change your transfer case even if you have a supercharger, the two options are not exclusive to each other
3) many times for few miles of rock crawl you have to drive on the freeway for hundreds of miles

Finally, I am very sure a supercharger helps on Truck Hill, my "favorite" :)
It will maybe help if you do not dig holes on your way up truck hill.. LOL

But if you plan on going fast in the desert I don't understand why change your transfer case unless you are going to put higher gearing in it.. I understand that both can be done at the same time but for the $8,000 it would cost I will have to choose one or the other.. ITs more of an economic decision for me cuz I am broke... LOL

Like I said in the other post if you are planning a high speed run, through the desert would be fun, then a super charger would be the way yo go. But for slower crawling stuff a transfer case would do a better job for getting that kind of torque.. IMO

I think that we are both basically making the same point just saying it in a different way ...
