FJ Cruisers of Northern California

quick question here, came across a couple of pictures of FJ's with this type of suspension.... is this what can be achieved with a long travel system, or is this a totally different system? if so, what it is? i may be just making myself confused with all the choices there are to be had with suspension mods, most likely this is a simple answer that has blown right over me, however help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

oh by the way the picture is as attached thanks guys!!!!

That FJ has a solid axle in the front. FJ's come standard with independent suspension there. If you wanted a suspension set up like the picture, you would need to essentially swap out the entire suspension set up in front, get the right axle and a load of other parts (I don't even know them all), and do some wielding and heavy modifications.

Solid axles are easy. All you need is lots of $$$$$$$$$.

here is a thread on the blue room about one of all pro's sas on a FJ:
