My DRL's come on like normal then when I turn my head lights on they stay the same brightness (high beam works ) I was woundering what runs the brightness from drl to headlight night usage? Is it a computer reset that would fix this? unplug the batt for 15 min kind of thing? I changed the bulbs last night and they are still running the same way...I dont feel like chasing wires for 2 hrs ..

Note: I added some lights to the bumper and used a light tester to check for hot wires on the headlamp plug but I ended up runing them to the batt instead this is around the time I had the issue. Thats why I think its a reset fix..

Shawn,

I sent Nestah a request for knowledge about your issue.  This is what he said, " Is he using a relay for the 100W driving lights and what wire (color) did he use on the headlight harness to tap the trigger wire for the driving lights? .
DRL is ground activated. It is the BLUE wire on the headlight connector/harness
which is coming from the DRL relay.

Woot!   Thanks Nestah (no fish :(  )

Thats the thing im not conected to the head lights at all. I was going to connect them to the head lights but decided to run them from the batt.

Ok after running test on every relay and fuse on the head lights I found a 1.7 fuse in the big box under the hood named DRL was blown after replaceing it everything is back to normal. thanks cowboy for trying to get the info buddy we gotz lightz now lol

Ha!  most excellent discovery \m/ ^-^ \m/
