FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Hello everyone,

I have owned a '10 Sandstorm for 2 years now and  haven't tipped it over yet.

I have a 3" OME lift with 33s, full Ricochet skids, Outrider lower control arm and shock skids,  Expedition One front bumper, and superwinch/synthetic rope.

My favorite place to wheel is Moab--I have done most of the difficult trails rated 5 and below---been on a few class 6 trails but 6 is definitely my limit. I Attended the FJ Summit in Ouray last year and had a ball. The trails were not hard but the scenery, sponsors and participants were super good.

I love my FJ but I need more flex--it is just too stiff.

Will the Links and sway bar re locator from Redeye Fabrication help??

Could someone please  send a review.

Thanks, Roy

Hey Roy, Welcome to the site! I love Moab,  Poison Spider and Moab Rim are my favs! .....I've been there twice so far I hope to get out there again this year.

the Red-Eye Links and relocators are the best way to get the most flex out of your FJ and you may want to try other suspension than OME or switch spring rate

Hello Bz,

I would like to get just a little more flex without changing the whole suspension system.  What is the best way to make an order form Redeye? I have tried his web site but no response?

Roy

you can trying giving him a call 650366seven6sixfive

Thanks for the number--I tried it and left VM.  Just opened my email and there was a response from Mark. He may have some links in mid Feb.

I probably have grown out of my OME setup.  Wish there was someone around  to steer me to right right direction before I purchased OEM.

Hey you have a photo on your site of a Sunfusion FJ with bull horns mounted on the grill. I saw this guy at the FJ Summit in Ouray last summer. He impressed me---he spent a lot of time repairing and helping a breakdown on the trail--he is good people.

Roy

that is Jake (aka Trailbus1) he and I are good friends and I visit him and Rebecca in Tucson a couple of times a year, he is a great guy to have spottin you on the trail

WELCOME! I plan to hit moab some point in my life time...

Bz is Right, its all on the spring rating for the OME. the relocators will do a good job tho :)

RJ

OK, but what is the best  spring rate---I have heavy in front and medium in the rear. It seems to be level and that is what I was going for.

Roy

well the spring rate is part of the equation, you could try switching out the fronts for Mediums, the shock valving is the other and it sounds like you may have out grown your OMEs

welcome aboard, Roy! sweet photo too!

Thanks, Roy
