Hi..It has been a while

To everyone on the forum. I would like to say HI, and sorry for not posting sooner. I have had nothing but internet and phone issues since I got to Afghanistan.

I have been on three different bases in three months. It has been hectic to say the least.

Hector, I started in Bagram, moved to Kandahar, and now Howz E Madad. It is a couple of klicks from the Iron City, where the Taliban was born. It gets pretty sporty here. We have internet down often from soldier losses.

Last week we had an attack that made national news. We have had at one time, no showers for five days due to lack of water, and a sign on the DFAC (Dining FACility) that read "DFAC will open one half hour late due to bullets flying around the FOB (Forward Operating Base).

I will post some pics when I can.

I wish I could go on some of the trips you folks go on, but I live vicariously through your adventures.
