I'm trying to install the ARB outback roof console and I need to identify a ground wire so I can hook up a Scanner in the DIN slot.Or can I just go to a screw or bolt to the body/frame?thanks for help.

I'd think the screw to the frame should work just fine. Never installed one, but the auto basics point that way. Virtually everything in a vehicle gets grounded that way at some point.
Well, never mind. If Nestah says it, do it. I'm just too old school. ;-)
There are ground points (bunch of white/black tracer wires attached to a bolt/frame) on the driver and passenger kick panels.

I can take pictures if you need to see the locations/ground wires.

I was thinking about a screw at the top of the rear view mirror attachtment point that goes into the metal roof parts.I have to take the mirror off anyway to attach the bracket for the roof console.

It's best to use the ground points Nestor mentions. Using other points can introduce micro circuits that may cause radiations like the kind that bleed into audio etc.

Above is from Sonof40 (sill haven't figured out how my first name got in here)

The site was shut down the other day for some maintenance.  Maybe something got re-set.

Maybe could be, thanks

I just got a E-mail from the maker of the roof console with 2 corrections for the wires hook up.anybody else that does this mod should know about them. info@4wdinteriors.com
