Nice brown trout... possibly wild but certainly not native to the Sierra Nevada mountains. The FJ certainly is a nice fish vehicle.

yeah browns arent native but defiantly wild. I threw everything at em but they wouldnt bite. I only fish with sinning gear but I ended up putting a dry fly on and finally got this little guy, let em go right after the picture.

off of highway 108, east of pinecrest lake. Took a random forest road and just kept going.

i know we tired to make plans on the other forum but im down to go back to this place if you want to? there was a small res. up the road that I heard is full of browns and rainbows, i wanna try my luck there. I took the wrong road and couldnt make it up there but after looking at google maps i know where i screwed up. let me know if you wanna make a day trip up there. I live in Tracy so we can leave here early in the morning and be back by sun down.

I work on Tuesdays. Im always off on Thursday and Fridays (Saturdays too, but im usually always doing stuff on Saturday) We can plan something after the 15th, if i go back before ill let you know how i did.

Was thinking of maybe going to the Silver Fork (between Hwys 88 and 50) Friday, camping, then join the Long Canyon trail clean-up on Sat. of next week.

Nice fish, the trouts up there are really picky.
