FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Wife was at the hospital last week and some yahoo hit my FJ left bumper wing and put a real scrape out of the paint. Of course no note left! Can this repainted cheaply or do I need to buy a new one?

I would just buy a replacement. They are pretty easy to swap out.

Or these are a decent alternative: http://fjbumperwings.com/

Or you could black them out. I've had plastidip on mine for about a year. Maybe I'll use permanent paint at some point, but the plastidip is holding up remarkably well. purefjcruiser wants $107 for a new one - you can probably find them a bit cheaper, but still - ouch! If you black them out, you can always touch them up easily when you scratch them up again on a trail some day....

Save money and spray paint em

I have a black TT complete front bumper. The rear wings are already gone.

I spray painted mine several years ago with truck bed liner.  I like the matte look and its tough as nails.  Being a little thicker than regular spray paint, it covers scratches well.  The wings are pretty easy to pull off.  Scrub em a bit with some dish soap and rattle can em.  Touch up is easy and inexpensive!
