Hey guys, New to the forum and the area.  Been getting settled in here in Sac.  But I have run into an issue that I can't figure out.  Monday morning I pulled out to go to work in the morning and I hear a tinny rattle or scraping noise coming from my driver-side front wheel well.  For 4 days I have tried looking for anything loose and/or bent that could be making this noise.  It almost sound like the brake dust shroud.  But everything seems to be in place.

Now, a few months back I did install the OME 2.5' Lift with new ballistic rims.  Haven't had a problem with it at all.  I removed the wheel last night and looked all around ensuring that nothing was rubbing or loose.  Everything was pretty buttoned down.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  Thinking that it may have just been the rim making noise I put it back on and waited to see if the noise returned.

The noise only occur for the first 5 - 10 mins of driving.  When it is idling, there is no noise.  Only when the car is in motion. And only when it is cold.  It has been occurring in the morning when I leave for work and when I leave for lunch but not in the evening,  Strange.

Car is still under warranty minus the parts I have installed.  Any suggestions?

I'd think it's time from a Sac area Wrenching/BBQ Day, there are lots of folks in the Sac area to help out
I'm sorry to say that most of us will be at All Cal this weekend
I am planning on having a wrenching day at my place soon in the Sac Area. Just trying to work out a date. Probably late August.
Good and Bad news...

I found out what the noise was. That's good. during the weekend the noise had gotten worse and was doing it all the time. I took it in to Roseville Toyota to have a look see. A faulty wheel bearing was the culprit. That's bad. You shoulda' seen the wobble in the tire when I pushed on it. I am surprised it didn't completely fail. Should be covered under warranty. *crosses fingers*
Jeez, glad it did not fail on you! Toyota should definitely cover that for you.
