Hello all,

I will kill two birds with one stone my intro and a problem, there the intro  :P  now straight to my problem

Looking for some guidence on troubleshooting my 4wd sensors and accuator. I get nothing no green 4wd light no atrac and blinking locker light. Ive jacked up the front and know that its not engaging tried uplugging the right sensor and jumping the open end. Nothing?  I guess my next step is pulling apart the accuator ,was hopping someone close has been thru this. It worked fine befor I left for the desert and go figure when we got out there is when this decided to give me problems!!!

Hey Rob (?) Long time no.
Have you tried disconnecting the battery for several minutes?
Just a thought: someone had a similar problem on the blue room and it was the add actuator. If the battery trick doesn't work do a search on the blue room.

Let us know.
thanks pkelly,

yeah been searching there the last couple days I think doc and 1911 have the decent write ups. but when I get it all figured out will let you know.
Hey Steve!! since I live like 1/4 mile away it was been a while I did try that and all the other little tricks, now I need to just do the process of elimination
sometimes the computer needs to see wheel movement before it will engage or check your diff fluid to see if it is low, check the wires(as much as possible) and then the actuator, pulling the Neg. terminal to reset may work or I have a scan gauge which may help
thanks bz,I just changed the diff fluid at 60k about 2 months ago might have to take you up on the scan gauge. I have the ob2 but not really sure if thats the right scan
I have a very similar problem. 4WD works but no Atrac and the same thing with the diff lock
well after havging to spend $360 on a new actuator, come to find bothe the 2h-4h sensor was bad and also the the 4l sensor went. eventually I might replace them but for now just installed two switches to bypass the sensors...seems to be working great.
