Hey Y'all,
So a little back story... a couple years ago I installed a Smittybilt front bumper with a Badlands 12k# winch. In the process, the winch could not fit with the hood latch supporting bracket in place. So, naturally, I cut it out. The hood latch is still there and operates as it should, for the most part... But it just doesn't have the vertical supporting bracket.
Naturally, as you may expect, this has caused a bit of "hood flutter" at freeway speeds.
So my question to you all would be, has anyone installed hood catches on their rig? Or does anyone know if it would be possible to install some generic ones (made for TJs), or possibly some vintage FJ40 style hood catches?
Thanks for the feedback. Removing OEM Roof Racktag:norcalfjs.com,2016-07-26:2131553:Topic:2578132016-07-26T05:35:54.233ZSJFJ 4x4http://norcalfjs.com/profile/sjfj4x4

I recently purchased a condo with a 1-car garage. The problem is...it's a tiny garage. My FJ won't fit unless I remove my roof rack. I read some threads in the blue room about possible leaks and worried about getting my headliner wet. I have to get this done otherwise I would have to park it outside (and I want to avoid this). Does anyone have a delete kit available (slightly used or new)? I'm willing to buy them. They're pretty expensive on ebay.

Has anyone in the Sac/Bay Area done a snorkel install? Wan't to order mine but don't want to pay a shop to do it. I've done everything to my Fj so far by myself but drilling into my fender still kinda worries me. Lol

I need a car cover for the FJ. Anyone on here know of a good cover that'll fit an FJ with a 3" lift and and Baja rack flat rack? If it could be bought locally in the Bay Area that would be best

I'm just wondering if I am the only one who seems to stockpile parts in the hopes of one day installing them haha. I have a ton of stuff I need to install on my truck but just can't make time to do it. Just wondering if I'm the only one! If not maybe we can set up a wrench day somewhere and just help everyone out. Here is my list of stuff I still need to do: body lift, links, boztec skid, trd cai install and attach it to snorkel, roof lights x4, move cb to springtail straddle, all pro rear…

Geeze that's all I can think of off the top of my head..
Anyone else lol I should take a picture of the pile o parts that has overtaken a bedroom in my house! Skid Plate Armor!?tag:norcalfjs.com,2015-04-06:2131553:Topic:2479572015-04-06T02:34:22.871ZJesushttp://norcalfjs.com/profile/JesusAguilar

I am ready to throw down on some skid plates. I'm thinking BUD BUILT or RICOCHET, but leaning toward the BUD BUILT. The RICOCHET are kinda scaring me know that im writing this, Aluminum seems like a ONE TIME USE. What do you guys think has anyone bashed with either one of these sets? Oh and also, should I get the GAS TANK SKID included in either of these COMBO DEALS? My Hope is that these are going to be a good investment. Now that i am planning on being more ADVENTUROUS. Thanks…
